Extending the Consultation Beyond the Room
Challenge:
Patients considering or undergoing preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) often leave their initial consultation with an overwhelming amount of information—complex genetic concepts, emotional decisions, and multiple steps in their IVF journey still ahead. These are patients with high information needs, frequent follow-up requirements, and a need to revisit topics at their own pace. The question was: how do we continue supporting them after they walk out the clinic door, without asking them to start from scratch each time?
Our Approach:
We designed pgt.clinic as the “continuing care wing” of an in-person clinic—a space that patients can step back into anytime, from anywhere in the world.
Seamless transition from in-person to online — After their face-to-face consultation, patients gain access to a dedicated virtual environment tailored to their exact care pathway.
On-demand knowledge centre — Multimedia guides, visual explanations, and patient-friendly summaries of the topics discussed in clinic—available to revisit as often as needed.
Virtual assistant follow-through — AI tracks the patient’s journey, reminding them of key steps, answering follow-up questions, and flagging when new information becomes relevant.
Global reach — The platform supports our national and international services, making high-quality PGT care accessible beyond physical borders.
Outcome:
Like adding a light-filled atrium to an existing building, pgt.clinic creates a connected, welcoming space for patients to return to, long after their first visit. It bridges the gap between the intensity of an in-person consultation and the reality of ongoing, complex care—keeping patients informed, reassured, and on track throughout their journey.
